Why You Got All That Power?

Hi everyone!
I'd just like to start off by saying I really enjoy this new font, haha. Anyways, I've recently heard Kanye West's new album which is his self titled "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy " and I know so many people are going to hate me for saying this... but I personally love Kanye. I believe he is one of the most successful and talented artists out there right now. I honestly cannot stop listening to it, I knew the moment I heard Elton John on the album that I would be obsessed with it. Kanye wouldn't be who he is without his confidence. Not only Elton John, but Bon Iver too. I just
believe that no matter what, he constantly sticks to himself and what he believes in. With this being said, music is one of the most important things to me. It means a lot to me, I get really excited when artists that I really enjoy come out with good albums, and I want people to be able to hear about good music, from talented artists.
Not only Kanye's new album, but I've also been obsessed with Arcade Fire's new album "The Suburbs" as well. I wasn't always into them, but the more I listen to them... the more I find myself dancing in my car and singing along. They recently performed on SNL. They were fa nominal. I believe that music is a way certain people express themselves, I also feel that way about fashion. To me, fashion and music are one in the same. Without one, I wouldn't be the same person I am today. With this all being said, I hope you can check this out and be encouraged to express yourself and check out what I've been listening to lately and I hope you enjoy it also. I've also decided, I'm going to try and update on here with more music I've been listening to also. (:

Happy Blogging!

Outfit 21.

Hi everyone!
How was your thanksgivings? I'm so excited for Christmas time, it's my favorite time of year. I cannot believe how quickly the time is going by, so crazy. I hope you all have started your holiday shopping! I know I have (: Anyways, this outfit is just one of the many that I have been meaning to post on here. I've been so crazy between midterms, black Friday weekend and just everything else.
By the way the NEW Forever 21 in the Freehold Raceway mall is now open!!!! <-- big deal. Anyways, to start off.. I wore a basic, fold over olive green a-line skirt from Forever 21 for only $9.50, I wore basic black stockings as well. For my top, I wore a Marc by Marc Jacobs t-shirt, it has a shark on it... I love it. And for my shoes, I wore my Forever 21 booties with the studs on the fold of the shoe. This outfit was very comfortable, and I felt very cute in it. As you all know, you make the outfit, the outfit doesn't make you. I hope you're all doing well! I'll be sure to try and update soon. Sorry again for not posting any sooner (:
Toodles!

Outfit 20.

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry I've barely been updating. So much to say and do, I can't believe that it's almost the holiday season. My Halloween was super lame, I had to work a mini floor set shift and I had to work a whole floor set shift that Monday as well. It was fun though, I love doing Forever 21 floor sets (: I'm actually excited also that I'm going to be able to help the new Forever 21 at the Freehold mall by me set up their new store! The crazy thing is that they open BLACK FRIDAY. I don't even want to know who thought of that idea, they are just crazy. Anyways, I wore this super cute outfit and one my managers told me I looked very "J.Crew" today. Made me laugh. To start off, I wore black tapered chino- like pants that go to your ankle from J.Crew. Along with those, I wore a basic heather grey v-neck shirt from the gap. It's one of my favorite shirts, it's so comfortable. I tucked the shirt in and wore a basic black leather belt. I never tuck in my shirts, but I found out that it actually makes for a nice look. I felt a lot older than I am, but that's okay haha. Anyways, I have to tell you all what I just bought the other day.... I bought my first pair of Tory Burch flats!! I'm so excited, I haven't stopped wearing them. They fit me so well, I got them for such a bargain also. Although, I probably shouldn't wear them to work I couldn't help it. I was so excited the other day because before the day that I had bought them I was telling my mother that that was what I had wanted for Christmas (one of the many things from my list ha ha). So that just made it even better. Buying things for myself is such a nice advantage to having a great job. Overall, this outfit was a complete whim. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did ha ha. I promise that I will start posting more! I've missed you all very much (: Hope you're all doing well, take care xox

Outfit 19.

Hi everyone! How have you all been lately? Great, I hope (: I have been so busy getting used to school and everything. But I actually have a few outfit updates to tell you all about. I'm still currently OBSESSED with lace, it's kind of ridiculous. Anyways, I'll get to the point. This first outfit I wore to work today (typical). Before I begin, I bought a bunch of clothes from work yesterday, I was really happy because I haven't gone shopping in awhile. I've seriously been working and just going to school. I feel like I've barely had time for me... or my boyfriend haha. Anyways, one of my favorite things that I ended up buying was this fake suede drape kind of sweater, it's beige. It's so cute, and it fit so well. It's going to be so great for the fall, I'm really excited to start wearing it. I'm just excited for the fall, period. Here's what it looks like - and it's only $22.80! I love it so much. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to wear with it though, maybe some black denim and a white v neck underneath. Hm, what do you think?
Okay, now onto the real outfit I was going to talk about. haha. Today, for work I wore a blue cotton chambray from J.Crew which is probably one of my favorite t shirts, I got it for only $59.50 at the outlets near where I live. I love shopping there, online it's called the factory because it's the factory store which is really cool. With the shirt, I wore this really pretty black foot long tights from Forever that were only $5.80. I usually buy all my tights from forever because well.. they're so cheap and they last me so long and I can buy tons of them knowing that I'll wear them all. Lastly, I just wore a short grey skirt that I usually wear when I wear leggings, it's from Urban Outfitters and it's so cute. For my shoes, I wore wingtips that I bought from Urban Outfitters that were cream and black and laced. Really cute and classy. My favorite part of the whole outfit was my little grey sequin beret that I wore with it that was only $4.80 and tied it all together, I also paired a cute little horse necklace along with the whole outfit as well.

Outfit 18.

Hi all!
This has been the first week of COLLEGE. so crazy. I actually like it, a lot. But on the other hand, I got a new kitten! It's a 7 week old black Manx cat, it's a boy and we named him Max (yes, from where the wild things are incase you were wondering). He's so cute, I love him so much. Anyways, I'm sorry I haven't been updating much, I really need to work on my level of inspiration lately. I promise that I won't let college get in the way of me posting my outfits! I love dressing up and looking cute for class though, and I can now show not only what I wear to work and going out, but what I wear to class also! (:
I bought this super cute sweater, I've decided that my new favorite things ever are bows and lace. I just recently bought that pullover from Forever. It's so cute, it's only $17.80. I recently bought this really nice straight leg denim from J.Crew that was only $60 dollars at the outlet near me. It's my favorite denim now, especially because I'm a lot shorter so it's hard to find denim without having to cuff them. It's like a darker denim, too. Which is nice because I don't really like light denim enless it's a "boyfriend" type of denim. I can't even begin to express to everyone how excited I am for fall. It's really my favorite time of year. If I could find a place where it was constantly fall weather, I'd move there in a heartbeat. I just love wearing cardigans, and big chunky sweaters. Most importantly, I love love love love love wearing boots. Anyways, I'm really excited to start posting some fall outfits sometime soon hopefully! I hope you're all doing well.
Take care,
xo sara

Outfit 17.

Hi everyone!
I have seriously been working so much lately and I'm just constantly overtired. I wore this really cute outfit to work today though, so I figured that I'd post it. Also, I started making outfits on this website called "polyvore" it's awesome ha ha. Anyways, to start off this outfit I wore my acid wash f21 leggings that are the most comfortable things I own, I promise and they are only $14.80. I then wore this little cotton skirt that I usually wear when I wear leggings, which is also from forever 21 it was only like $5! It's like the best thing to own because whenever you wear shirts or a dress that isn't long enough to wear just with leggings, it makes it look like a dress or something and it's just really comfortable. Next, I wore a blue and white button up from the Gap and it was about $50. A little on the expensive side, but totally worth it because I wear it a lot but I usually belt it. Then, on top of the button up I layered a grey long sleeve Hello Kitty shirt from forever 21 that was $14.80 and I bunched up the sleeves on both shirts. For my shoes, I wore my leopard print oxfords from Anthropologie. Well, that sums the outfit up! I hope you all are trying to enjoy the rest of your summers as much as you can! Hope you liked this outfit, feedback is appreciated.
Take care,
xo sara

Outfit 16.

Hi everyone!
I just figured I'd update since yesterday. I remember this totally cute dress that I wore to work a few weeks ago, so I figured I'd post it on here. It's a pretty simple outfit, although I couldn't find the exact shoes that I wore online so I just chose a make-shift one. Anyways, I bought this dress on sale at Urban Outfitters for $29! It's totally cute and comfortable and it has BOWS all over it, which are my favorite things... ever! I'm sorry the picture doesn't do much justice for the dress, but it's all little bows. Then, I just wore plain black stockings and that shoe I
mentioned earlier.
Pretty simple, all I know is that I was really comfortable especially because I was working all day.
Hope you enjoy this look!
Take care

Outfit 15

Hi everyone! So sorry I have barely updated all summer, things have been so crazy. I graduated from high school, and I will be attending community college within the next month... SO CRAZY. I am so excited though, it's going to be a challenge and it's going to be a fresh start for me. But I totally wore an outfit today that inspired me, so I'm going to be posting a few outfits on here.. but I just recently joined this new website and it's called "lookville" and it's great, you should all check it out! http://lookville.com/sailsandsaints (: I hope you're all having awesome summer's and such, keep in touch!
I started this outfit off with a pair of blue and grey acid wash jeans from Target, and they were only about $20 which was a complete bargain. I then paired it with a boho fringed vest from Forever 21 for $24.80 and underneath the vest I wore a long white logo tank from Urban Outfitters, and layered a light grey tank underneath that (because I love layers ha ha). And lastly, for my shoes I wore my wingtip -like shoes from Anthropologie that are leopard print and I got them on sale for $30! So excited.
Hope you all enjoyed this outfit, take care!

Outfit 14.

Bonjour!
I am so sorry that I haven't been updating, my senior year of high school is coming to a close and my photography class has been jam-packing my life as of lately. I graduate this friday, the 18th of june. It is literally blowing my mind, but sadly enough I have nothing to wear yet and I am having mini panic attacks each time I think about it because I'm not going to have enough time to alter this dress that I WAS going to wear. Such a shame, damn you Ann Taylor. But anyways, back on track. I hope you're all doing really well and are super excited for the summer time! I cannot wait to show you all my summer outfits, it is going to mostly consist of dresses but that is a-okay.
I had work tonight, and I wore one of my favorite outfits as of recently. I wore this super cute racerback top from francesca's collections (francescascollections.com). It's one of my new favorite places to shop, it's in a cute little strip mall by me. It's only $28 also! I also wore my acid wash leggings from F21. They're so comfortable, I have two pairs haha. I then wore this cute black cotton mini-skirt i always wear when I wear leggings and a shirt, it's probably one of the best pieces of clothing that I own. I also wore my favorite shoes ever, they're from F21. Black open oxford like flats, I think you would consider them and then I just paired the whole outfit with a long dark grey cardigan from F21. (Told you my whole closet is from there!! :P)
Well, my next post will be all about my prom dress & prom! (: I hope you like this outfit as much as I do. Thanks so much, take care xoxox

Favorite.

I've come to the conclusion that my favorite things to wear are American Apparel deep v-necks. So.comfortable. I can't even begin to describe to you. I find myself constantly buying them, ordering the 3 packs online. So great. I just figured I would share that with you all. But you have to be careful wit their sizes, they run small.. so I usually go a size up depending on what it is.
Next, I have found myself shopping at UO a lot, the one in my downtown area is pretty small compared to the normal sized ones.. but I can deal. I also have been going into Anthropologie a lot also. I've come to the conclusion that I don't mind spending a lot for my clothes, because I know that they are going to last and are made very well. You can always find really good bargains in both of those stores as well.
I bought my prom dress! (huge deal) So excited. I got it from a small boutique around here called Stacy Gemma. It reminds me of watercolors, and it is down to my feet and it is so perfect because I don't have to get it hemmed or anything! Now all I have to do is find my shoes -sigh-. Speaking of shoes, I was on OAK's website (www.oaknyc.com) the other day, and I found these amazing Finsk wedges that I want so badly. If only I could just cough up $598. I also wouldn't mind having the all black suede Jeffrey Campbell booties. Completely obsessed.
Anyways, this is my rant for now.. I'll be sure to post some outfits soon! Hope you're all doing well (:

Outfit 13.

Hi everyone! I'm home from beautiful Florida! I was so homesick, but I'm sorry I haven't been around. Missed you all (: Anyways, today I went back to work and I'll share with you the outfit that I had worn.

To start off, I wore this dress from F21 and it's only $15.80, it's online so you can find it there!(haha, not surprising.) It's one the new lines within the company and it's called "Alice In a Twisted Wonderland", it's a really cool line. I just paired it with a pair of plain black leggings, I just wanted to keep it simple because I wanted the main focus to be the dress. It's super comfortable and made me look super skinny! :P I then just wore these studded boots from F21 they are $24.80. I love them, they are so comfortable. But that is what basically all my wardrobe consists of. On that note, that is my outfit that I wore today! I hope you all had lovely Easter's and are doing well. Take care xoxo

Outfit 12

Hi everyone! :D
I want a vintage Chanel, so badly. Anyways, this is one of my favorite dresses that I finally was able to wear with just a plain light navy blue sweater and tights. (: I'm so happy that it's 70 degrees here in NJ FINALLLLLY! This dress is from Urban Outfitters, I could only get a picture of the purple and black one but I have the pink and brown one. It has little flowers on it, it's stretchy and perfect. I love it, so comfortable and makes you look incredibly skinny!
Next, I usually just wear dark grey tights with this dress, and a brown belt.
and the best part about this outfit is that I get to wear
my Jeffrey Campbell boots with them! They're my favorites, I bought them at OAK in Brooklyn. The ones I could find a picture of are a little different and they are only $200 (shopbop.com). Like I had said previous, you can throw on a little cardigan with this dress also, but it's totally optional as well as the leggings. Hope you like it! Enjoy the sun (:

Outfit 11.

Okay, this outfit I wore to school today. It is a very laid back look, but it still is very cute. To start off, I wore a blue and white vertical striped oxford shirt from the Gap, which is on sale now for $24.99. (for future reference, stay away from horizontal stripes and only stick with vertical!) Next, I put on a light grey stretchy high waisted skirt from H&M, it was only like $12 bucks! I wear these types of skirts usually every single time I wear leggings except if I'm wearing a dress ha-ha. I then wore acid wash leggings from Forever 21 which are $14.80. They're great, I have two pairs of them. They are so comfortable, and they are so long. I then threw in some accessories with this outfit, they are completely optional. I put a regular brown belt- a darker, chocolate color. Next, I layered some gold necklaces on top of my blouse.
Just to add another accent of color in there. As for shoes, I kept it simple and just slipped on my favorite pair of brown moccasins from American Eagle. Overall, this outfit was a huge success. Hope you enjoy it!

Outfit 10.

Okay, this is outfit number 10 and this is probably one of my favorite outfits. I've been shopping at Urban Outfitters lately, my boyfriend got me two giftcards for Christmas (: anyways, this brand is Kimchi Blue, I bought it for $58 dollars. In a dark blue, they actually didn't have it in blue on the website.. but they had it in a black and red so you can see it. It's really cute, and comfortable. I usually put a thin brown belt with it, also.
I usually wear just black tights with it, or dark grey. Depending on what shoes I wear with it. Since I had just brought up shoes, I usually wear those grey contrast tall suede boots from Aldo, which are on sale now for only $40. They go all the way up to my knees! I love them so much.
Lastly, I will sometimes put the light brown blazer from J.Crew that I had mentioned in a previous outfit. Hope you enjoyed this outfit! (:
- xo Sara

Outfit 9.

This outfit I wore to my cousins sweet 16! I found this dress last minute, and I'm so glad I did. This dress is navy blue, strapless from Anthropologie for $138. A little on the pricey side, but it's made so well. I love that store, haha. This dress was so comfortable too, and really easy to just dance around in. I wore black opaque tights with a control top, which were awesome. They don't move at all. Because I wear tights a lot, I know how annoying it is having to pull them up every couple minutes.
Next, I wore a dark charcoal grey quarter sleeve cardigan from Forever 21, just to cover my arms and shoulders because I knew that I would have been cold. I liked the contrast of the colors together. It was only $11.50. Also, the cardigan is really comfortable. I don't know what I would ever do if cardigans were never invented, love them.
Lastly, I wore Vera Wang wedges in navy blue. Most comfortable pair of wedges that I happen to own. They looked so chic with the dress, the navy blue matched absolutely perfect with the dress. Overall, this outfit was a huge success. Enjoy!
xo Sara

Outfit 8.

This outfit is very simple, and can be easily found. It's one of my new favorites, it's so comfortable also.
To start off, I bought this really cute sleeveless dress from target from the new spring collection for only $21.99.
I then wore a light brown single button blazer from J.Crew on sale for only $39.99. It looks like the image, minus the bunching on the side and the two buttons.(obviously because there's only one.) I then wore dark grey "HUE" tights, with a plain flat. This outfit can be easily done, the dress from Target comes in many different colors. Enjoy :)

Hello again!

Hi everyone!
I haven't been blogging for awhile now, I'm so sorry about that. I'm eighteen finally! My birthday was actually two weeks ago. I'll be entering college soon, so big. Anyways, I've decided that I'm going to make this blog an clothing/outfits/music/movies all in one. So it will be an ongoing roller coaster of new music, hot styles, what's in and everything of those sorts. I'm so glad to be back, I was out of the loop for such a long time! I hope you're all doing well. xoxo
