Outfit 24.

Hi everyone!
So sorry I haven't been around, this summer has been so crazy. I'm finally done with my summer classes and I'll be starting my Fall semester in a week or so, unfortunately. But! Otakon was a huge success, everything went swimmingly. No complaints, just good times. I'm content, I just went shopping today at Free People today with my mom and I couldn't help but literally look at everything that was in the store! I've been working at Anthropologie for almost 6 months now and that was my first time ever shopping there, which sounds crazy (especially for me LOL). Anyways, here's what I ended up purchasing, I definitely need to go back when it gets a little cooler out and buy some sweaters and things like that, because they were still mid-summer with the apparel. Oh! also, it was employee appreciation still so I got my 40% off of everything, which was another bonus (; my mom was happy about that also.

1) The first thing I ended up buying are sweater leggings and they have an elastic waistband which are $68.

2) Next, I bought a grey colored lace "slip" or tank top with lace insert and a ruffled hem which is $88 dollars.

3) Lastly, I bought this amazing skirt. Something I definitely know I have nothing like in my wardrobe. It's an semi-cropped skirt that is a dark red and it has a hem with a print on it. It's $68.

Well, I just figured I'd update everyone and see how you are all doing and I hope you all survived the hurricane with no problems (: Hope you're all doing well, I can't wait for Fall! I hope you're all as excited as I am! Take care

Update.

Hi everybody!
So sorry I haven't updated in awhile, my summer has been crazy hectic. I began another summer class, so I've been consumed with that nonsense. My summer is going okay, I hope you're all enjoying yourselves and relaxing. I haven't really thought of any interesting outfits to post so I figured I'd do a little post about thrift shopping - one of my favorite hobbies. I recently discovered a few new stores in a town near where I live, they are really great. My mom also found this place in the same time and what they call it is a "trading post" where basically, you sell clothes to the store and they give you money for your clothes and then they essentially re-sell them in the store. Which is really awesome, but at this certain post it's all mainly designer clothes (vintage mostly). It's really great, I have yet to go because the one day that I was in town and planned on going it turned out that they were closed. I was very disappointed, to say the least. BUT - no fear I ended up going into another shop and bought this awesome plaid hat box that I'm going to use as luggage for $30. It was seriously such a steal! That's a picture of what it looks like. Anyways, I figured I'd just do a little update because I haven't been posting anything! Miss you all, hope you're doing okay! Take care.

Outfit 23.

Hi everyone!
It's almost summertime, and sadly I have to take a summer class :( but! that's okay because it's only during the beginning of the summer. I went into work today and the last time I had worked was a day or two before Easter so I decided to splurge a little and buy a new Easter dress from work, which I'm so glad that I had! I'm going to keep this entry simple.
Here's the dress I bought/wore today to work. I have to say it is probably one of the most flattering dresses I have ever bought. Everyone loved it, including my boyfriend. (Our 2 year anniversary is this saturday!) I'm very happy about that. Anyways, this dress is $148. Although it happens to be very expensive, I know that it was worth it. I feel as though it is important to have a few items in your wardrobe that are pieces that are a little more than you were willing to pay.. because you know that you'll wear them. I wore them with black cut out lace shoes that are patent leather. But there are so many other options you could do with this dress, I don't even know where to begin. Well I hope you are all beginning to enjoy the warm weather! Take care (:

Outfit 22.

Hi everyone!
So many things have been going on, it's safe to say that I don't work for Forever 21 anymore I am now working for Anthropologie (which is one of the sister stores of Urban Outfitters). I have been there for a few weeks now, and since it's almost summertime I'm almost done with my second semester being a fashion major! It's really great, I'm super happy. I apologize for not updating recently. I hope you're all doing okay, patiently awaiting the sun to make a come back and for it to stay. I'm in the mood to talk about spring, I've been seeing so many things recently that have caught my eye! So let's start off with a few of my favorite things for this spring :

First things first, is bright colors have made a come back! Doesn't it just make you smile seeing all the bright colors everywhere?

Next on my list of Spring trends, is lace. It's my new favorite thing (besides bows... of course), I feel as though there's so much you can do with it and there's so many ways to wear it. Here are a few of my favorites from the runway. (left to right- Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, BCBG Max Azria)

After lace, it's prints prints prints! Especially ethnic ones, they are H-U-G-E right now. I'm a huge fan of it, always have been. I really feel like it isn't going anywhere either. Here are a few of my favorites from the runway. (from left to right- Topshop Unique, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen)

I'm so excited for Spring, I love watching the runway shows on style.com and seeing what's new from all the designers. I love so many of the trends right now. I'll be sure to update soon!
